What - exactly - does it look and sound like to "practice self-compassion"?
To answer that, we first have to clarify what self-compassion even is: And you may be pleasantly surprised to hear the answer!
Turns out, the primary function of self-compassion is to alleviate your own suffering. Not ignore it, or gloss over it, or GET over it, or fix it, or indulge it, or explain it.
Alleviating your suffering means make it less severe. (Who wouldn't want that?)
